Library Policies

Lebanon Public Library offers personal computers for use by library cardholders. These computers are equipped with printers and are loaded with software. Access to Public-use Computers is by appointment. You will be required to provide a valid Lebanon Public Library card (registered in your name) at the time the appointment is made. Appointments are in half hour increments. If you are more than ten minutes late your appointment may be canceled.

The Internet allows the Library to connect community users to many electronic resources not currrently available at the library’s location. Most resources available via the Internet and other electronic information networks are “global” resources rather than “local” resources.

Lebanon Public Library supports the right of all library users to access information and will not deny access to the electronic information newtwork based solely on age.

Lebanon Public Library recognizes that the electronic information networks such as the Internet may contain material that is inappropriate for children. Parents are expected to monitor and supervise their children’s use of the Internet. Library staff are unable to monitor children’s use. Parents are therefore required to sign an Internet User Agreement to be kept on record at the library for all minor children. Children under the age of ten are requied to have their parents with them when they use the Internet.

Lebanon Public Library Public Internet Use Policy is available upon request at the circulaltion desk.
